The Chorus Catch-Up

We’re so excited to be kicking off our new term from the week commencing 22nd September! With close to 200 singers now meeting across Greater Manchester in 8 different locations, it’s just incredible to see our Contemporary Chorus community continuing to grow. Every week, people come together not just to sing, but to connect, share laughs (an all important cup of tea and a biscuit) and build friendships through music — and that’s something really special.

We also want to take a moment to look back on our recent workshop day. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! It was wonderful to bring the full choir together for the day, and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along. A particular shoutout goes to the amazing Nicole Battick for her inspiring and uplifting keynote session. I think it’s safe to say she had the whole room buzzing — and yes, that chorus is still stuck in our heads… So smillleeeee!

On top of that, we’re thrilled to announce that Chris Healey is joining us this term as Choir Leader for our Wigan group. We know Chris will bring so much energy, fun, and expertise to rehearsals, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on board. If you attend the Wigan choir between now and the end of the year, please give him the warmest of welcomes — let’s show him what the Contemporary Chorus spirit is all about!

We can’t wait to see what this next term has in store. Here’s to another season filled with great music, new friendships, plenty of laughter, and countless moments to remember. Thank you all for being such a big part of this journey — together, you make The Contemporary Chorus what it is.
