What’s It Actually Like to Sing With Us?

So here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what our choirs are really like....

A Warm Welcome (From Day One)

First and foremost, our choirs are full of friendly, welcoming people. We’re not just a group that sings together once a week — members genuinely connect. Many socialise outside rehearsals too, which means new faces quickly feel like part of the group rather than “the new person in the room”.

Relaxed, Fun, and Seriously Enjoyable

Yes, we sing great music and aim to sound fantastic — but we’re not a stuffy or overly serious ensemble. Rehearsals are relaxed, upbeat, and full of laughter. People are there because they love singing, and that joy always comes first.

One of the most powerful things about choir singing is the team element. It’s about the collective sound, not individual perfection. So if you’ve ever worried that you’re “not good enough”, rest assured — how you feel about your voice matters far less than you might think.

No Music Reading Required

You don’t need to read music to sing with us. We provide lyric sheets for rehearsals and performances, and there’s no pressure to memorise anything. If you do enjoy notation, musical scores are also available for members to download — the choice is entirely yours.

Flexible, Pressure-Free Commitment

Our memberships are designed to fit around real life. They run as rolling subscriptions that you can manage yourself, with no obligation to attend every rehearsal.

We rehearse for around 30 weeks of the year and move through repertoire at a steady, supportive pace. Material is regularly recapped, so nobody feels left behind — whether you’ve missed a week or are brand new.
